The IVERDAN Standard. Every detail matters. Carefully inspected, thoughtfully packed.

Ratchet belts solved the hole problem and then started failing at the buckle. That is the part we rebuilt, and the part we guarantee.

What Arrives

  • The triple belt organiser, free with this set
All three hang flat and crease-free instead of coiled in a drawer.

How It Works

  1. It arrives longer than you needEvery strap ships at 130 cm. You cannot add leather back, so we start you long.
  2. You cut it to your sizeMeasure against a belt you already own, measure again, then cut it to length. About two minutes.
  3. The buckle locks every 5 mmA punched belt gives you a setting every 25 to 30 mm, which is why the right spot so often sits between two holes.
  4. A lever releases itOne motion under the buckle. No unthreading, nothing to unclip.

Sizing

One size. Every belt ships at 130 cm.

There is nothing to choose and nothing to get wrong. Every strap in the set leaves at the same length, longer than anyone needs, and you trim it to your own waist at home in about two minutes. Free shipping on every order.

Size guide

How to find your size. Take a belt you already wear and measure it from where the buckle meets the leather to the hole you use. That number is your waist. If you would rather use your trousers, the size on the label is close enough.

Trouser size Waist Waist in cm
28 28 in 71 cm
30 30 in 76 cm
32 32 in 81 cm
34 34 in 86 cm
36 36 in 91 cm
38 38 in 97 cm
40 40 in 102 cm
42 42 in 107 cm
44 44 in 112 cm

At 130 cm the strap covers every size on this table, right through the 44 inch waist at the bottom of it. Cut what you do not need and the belt is yours.

The Part That Decides It

Inside every ratchet buckle sits a small toothed lever that holds your waist size. It carries the entire load of a normal day, and it is the part that fails first. Most of the category casts it from zinc alloy, an alloy that is not rated to carry load, and leaves the housing open so lint from your own clothes reaches the teeth.

Nobody in this category names that part, which is how it stays the cheapest thing in the product. We name it, and we write our lifetime coverage against it: if the mechanism ever fails in normal use, we replace the belt.

The Last Buckle Guarantee

Cut it. Wear it. Send it back anyway.

100 days to change your mind. For any reason, including no reason. A cut strap does not void it, because cutting it is how the belt is fitted. You cover return shipping.

Lifetime coverage on the mechanism. If the lock ever fails in normal use, we replace the belt. Your order number is enough. The coverage is on the mechanism, not on cosmetic wear of the leather from normal use.

Why IVERDAN Exists

Every accessory a man wears every day has one small part that decides whether it lasts. The industry leaves that part unnamed, which is how it gets to be the cheapest thing in the product.

We started with belts because the failure there is the easiest to prove: a lever the size of a fingernail, cast in an alloy not rated to carry load, sitting in a housing left open to the lint of your own clothes. Nobody names it, so nobody guarantees it.

So we name it. The same rule now decides everything we make: a mechanism that carries the load, in steel, and a warranty written against that part by name. Nothing we sell depends on a body measurement, which is why nothing we sell comes back because it did not fit.

Before You Buy

I have had a ratchet belt fail on me before. Why would this be different?

Because the failure had a cause, and the cause was a specific part. Most buckles in this category use a cast alloy lever in an open housing. Cast alloy is not rated to carry load, and an open housing lets fabric lint into the teeth. If you have broken one of these before, you already know more about the problem than most of the people selling them.

What if I cut it too short?

The strap arrives at 130 cm and we tell you to measure twice against a belt you already own before you cut. If you still get it wrong inside 100 days, that is what the money-back window is for. A cut strap does not void your return.

Does it work if I have a small waist and a bigger seat?

That is one of the cases the 5 mm increment exists for. A punched belt gives you settings every 25 to 30 mm, which is why the right spot so often sits between two holes.

Will it set off a metal detector?

The buckle is metal, so treat it like any other belt at an airport. A version with no metal in the mechanism is on the way.

Why is it more expensive than the ones I see in ads?

Because of the guarantee. Anyone can sell you a belt; covering the mechanism for life means we carry the cost when it fails instead of you. If you have already replaced two, you have spent this much on belts that failed.
